SALEM, Ore. — Cal Lutheran women's tennis swept Willamette but came up just short to Pacific (Ore.) 5-4 on Saturday. 

It was the second sweep of the year for the Regals and they are 2-1 against NWC opponents on their road trip. 

In the first match of the day, the Regals took on the Boxers of Pacific. The Regals were down 2-1 after doubles with their point coming from Kylee Limpias and Maddy Ford in the No. 3 spot with a score of 8-2. Pacific took the other doubles matches as Carmen Bufkin and Mina Ahmadi fell 4-8 in the No. 1 spot and Gerda Jucys and Luisa Garcia fell 6-8 at the No. 3.

The teams split singles play as the Boxers escaped with a close victory. Ford won 6-4, 6-3 at the No. 3, Fatima Nemi Revilla won 6-2, 3-6, 11-9 at the No. 4, and Kayla Kling won 2-6, 6-0, 10-8 at the No. 6. The Boxers won the other three as Bufkin fell at the No.1, Garcia was defeated at the No. 2 and Anya Rajan fell at the No. 5. 

In their second match, the Regals swept the Bearcats of Willamette. The Regals made quick work of the Bearcats in doubles play. Bufkin and Ahmadi won 8-0 at the No. 1, Ford and Limpias won 8-1 at No. 2, and Rajan and Nemi Revilla won 8-0 at the 3. 

The domination continued into singles play. Bufkin won 6-0, 6-3 at the No.1, Ahmadi won 6-4, 6-4 at the No. 2, Rajan won 6-3, 3-6, 10-5 at the No. 3, Limpias won 6-1, 6-1 at the No.4, Kling won 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 5, and Jucys won 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 6. 

The Regals continue their road trip with Linfield on Sunday at 10 a.m.
