LA VERNE, Calif. – Recent history repeated itself on Friday night as No. 12 La Verne knocked off the Regals in three sets. The scores of the match were 14-25, 17-25, and 18-25.
Cal Lutheran (8-10, 3-6 SCIAC) was riding a three game win streak going into the second round of conference matchups, but the Leopards snapped it, asserting dominance on their home court.

Sophia Muller led the way with seven kills (.238%) and one dig.
Makenna Kawamura posted 10 assists, a service ace, and seven digs of her own. Libero
Keegan Corley led the Regal's defense with 25 digs, while
Kira Mortensen added four kills and four blocks.
La Verne (16-4, 8-2 SCIAC) held a 7-1 advantage in aces and out-dug the Regals 66-46. Mya Ray led the team with a nine-kill performance and one service ace. Four other Leopards added seven kills each while Malia Capistrano posted an evening-high 17 digs.
Cal Lutheran looks to take back their momentum this weekend, taking on University of Redlands at home on Saturday at 6:00 PM.
