FULLERTON, Calif. — Regals water polo continued its tough stretch to start the season and took on Division I opponents Loyola Marymount and Cal State Fullerton on Saturday afternoon. The Regals fell to LMU 21-4 and CSFU 14-3.
Versus Loyola Marymount, Jacsen Donohue, Miranda Miller, Bethany Metcalfe, and Abby Lanier scored a goal. Metcalfe and Izzy De Souza both recorded an assist and Katie Knight drew three exclusions. De Souza and Vianne Will were both in goal and had four saves each.
Against Cal State Fullerton, Knight, Reyna Clark, and Gianna Garcia had a goal. Lauren Lohmeier recorded an assist and Miller had two drawn exclusions. Will and De Souza continued to split time in goal with six and four saves, respectively.
After six games on the road, the Regals are at home on Saturday. They take CSUN at 9 a.m. and Toronto at 4:30 p.m.
