SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Cal Lutheran women's basketball continued their tough stretch against ranked opponents and took on No. 16 Hardin-Simmons on Sunday afternoon. The Cowgirls defeated the Regals
The Regals stuck right with the Cowgirls in the first and third quarters with scores of 14-14, and 13-16, respectively. Hardin-Simmons gained ground in the second and fourth as they outscored Cal Lutheran 11-25 and 22-36, respectively.
Sara Mills and Kaiya Mack led the way with 14 points each. Six more Regals scored and Alline Ballard had nine points while Karina McMillan and Madison Holden had six each.
Ballard was two rebound shy of a double-double and Grace Godines matched her at eight. McMillan had three assists, Mack had two steals, and Aliya DiMuro and Janna Holley both had a block.
The Regals continue their Texas trip on Tuesday. They are at Texas Lutheran at 11 a.m. PT.
