THOUSAND OAKS — Cal Lutheran women's tennis competed at the ITA West Regionals which was hosted by Pomona-Pitzer and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Friday through Sunday.

Competing for the Regals were
Mina Ahmadi,
Carmen Bufkin,
Maddy Ford,
Luisa Garcia,
Kayla Kling,
Kylee Limpias,
Fatima Nemi Revilla, and
Reese Rutledge.
In singles play, Bufkin, Ford, Garcia, Kling and Nemi Revilla all won their opening match. Bufkin swept her match 6-0, 6-0, Ford won 6-2, 6-2, Garcia moved on with a score of 6-3, 4-6, 10-7, Kling won 6-3, 6-3, and Nemi Revilla was victorious 6-1, 6-4. Garcia went the furthest as she won her round of 16 match 7(7)-6(2), 0-6, 10-4. Bufkin was close to moving on but was defeated 6-4, 5-7, 11-13. Garcia fell in the quarterfinals 6-1, 6-1.
In doubles, Ahmadi and Bufkin won their first match 8-4 in flight one and advanced to the round of 16. Their tournament ended with a loss of 8-5. Ford and Limpias competed in flight two and won their first match, which was the semifinals, 8-2. They came up just short in the finals with a score of 8-5.
The Regals wrapped up their fall competition and will turn their eyes toward the spring season.
