THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Cal Lutheran men's tennis competed at the ITA West Regionals which was hosted by Pomona-Pitzer and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Friday through Sunday.

The Kingsmen had eight competing as
Andy Ai,
Jake Anderson,
Jakob Buhler,
Logan Friedman Frederick-Christian Otto,
Ethan Sherwood,
Loup Sudre, and
James Truong all suited up.
Ai, Otto, Sudre, and Truong made it the furthest in singles play. Ai won his opening match 6-6, 6-4, Otto moved on with a score of 6-2, 3-6, 10-7, Sudre won 6-1, 3-6, 10-6, and Truong won 6-2, 6-3. They all fought hard in the round of 16 but fell and were eliminated.
The Kingsmen sent eight doubles teams to the competition. Sudre and Sherwood fell in their opening match and bounced back in the consolation round of 16 quarterfinals. They defeated their competition 8-6 but lost in the next round.
The Kingsmen have one more tournament in the fall. On October 26-29, they are at the SoCal Intercollegiate Tournament.
