THOUSAND OAKS, Calif — Cal Lutheran men's soccer played UC Santa Cruz to a 0-0 draw on senior night this Saturday. 

Before the game, the Kingsmen celebrated their graduating class of Brock Goerlich, Bruno Mostajo Torres, Kai Nemoto, Chris Pelaez, Cesar Sagastume, Davis Sharts, and Tyler Sherard.

In the first half, the Banana Slugs took five shots to the Kingsmen's three. Cal Lutheran would create more opportunities in the second half, outshooting UC Santa Cruz 12-3. 

JP Melgoza led the Kingsmen with six shots. Goalkeeper Davis Sharts made four saves in the contest. 

Nemoto, Jack Gominiak, Aidan Johnston, and Sheard played the entirety of the match to help keep UC Santa Cruz off the board. 

The Kingsmen tied for the second game in a row, as their record moves to 5-2-6 (3-1-4). Cal Lutheran resumes conference play at home against Occidental on Wednesday, October 18th at 7 p.m.
