CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Regals traveled to CMS in hopes of an upset to the No. 2 SCIAC ranked team but were sent home with a 9-0 loss.

Carmen Bufkin and Brennan Foreman fought hard in the one-spot doubles match but were outlasted 8-4 by the Athenas. Both other doubles match ups went quickly in favor of CMS.

Bufkin was the closest singles player to take a match off CMS but lost both sets 6-3. Carolina Goff Hinojosa and Foreman were the second closest Regals but both lost their matches with scores of 2-6 and 1-6.

Sophia Gawrit and Lauren Sebastian put up a battle against their singles opponents and got on the board but it wasn't enough to silence the Athenas.

The Purple and Gold host Occidental on Friday at 3 pm.
