REDLANDS, Calif. – Regals tennis headed to Redlands for a 10 am start time. The Purple and Gold fought hard but were only able to take one match in their Saturday competition. The Bulldogs won 8-1.

It was close between the doubles teams but the Regals couldn't pull out the win. Carmen Bufkin and Brennan Foreman were the closest and ended 7-8. Bufkin was the one Regal with a win today in her singles match against the Bulldogs No. 1 player. Bufkin won 6-2 and 6-4.

Carolina Groff Hinojosa and Luisa Garcia had another close doubles match where they came up just short 6-8. Heidi Levanen and Joslin Seaberg were the final doubles team and they were defeated 2-8.

Joslin Seaberg almost took a set off Redlands but lost 5-7 and then 1-6. Groff Hinojosa put up a strong fight in her singles match but was outlasted 4-6 and 2-6.

The Regals host UC Santa Cruz on Wednesday at 3 pm.
