PASADENA, Calif. - At the midway mark of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) men's water polo season the Kingsmen moved to .500 with an 18-4 road win over Caltech this afternoon.

Offensive Highlights: CLU got goals from 10 different student-athletes with Camron Hauer leading all players. His four goals matched the entire output of the Beavers while Zack Card, AJ Franklin, Chris Gardhouse, Jack Kirby and Matt Paxton scored a pair apiece. Rounding out the scoring were Jake Gallagher, Connor Hauer and Cameron Knudsen. Six players tallied two assists each and Gardhouse led all players with three drawn ejections.

Defensive Highlights: Splitting time in front of the cage were Nick Loomis and Jake Venckus who recorded seven and four saves, respectively, in the first and second half. Leading the way in the field were Gardhouse and Davy Thomas who each nabbed a trio of steals with each adding a field block. Mats Albins and JT Hoy both finished with a field block as well. Ten different players had one or more steals in the win.

The Opponent: Caltech scored first, but essentially was held at bay throughout the remainder.

Notables: Today marked the midway point of the men's water polo SCIAC season. The Beavers struck first before the Kingsmen reeled off seven unanswered goals.

Next Up: Cal Lutheran (8-10, 2-2 SCIAC) will be on deck at the Samuelson Aquatics Center for an 11:00 a.m. meeting with conference-leading Whittier on Saturday, Oct. 31.
