PASADENA, Calif. - Sarah Baker, Rebecca Drake, and Dana Raugust all closed out their Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) regular season schedule with wins against Caltech but Cal Lutheran couldn't quite string together any other victories and fell 7-2 to the Beavers Friday afternoon.
The Beavers took the first two doubles matches with Jenny Sheng and Monica Li defeating Rebecca Gold and Shelby Kubota 8-1 in the No. 1 while Michelle Lee and Rebekah Kitto took down Lindsay Murphy and Raugust 8-6 in the No. 2
Baker and Drake were finally able to get CLU its first point when they defeated Valerie Pietrasz and Sophia Chen 8-3.
Raugust was the Regals' lone singles winner, taking the No. 5 match up against Chen 6-2, 6-2.
Cal Lutheran (3-12, 1-7 SCIAC) will be back in action when it takes part in the Ojai Tournament from April 25-27.
