SANTA CRUZ, Calif., - The Cal Lutheran Men's soccer team fell 1-0 to UC Santa Cruz Saturday afternoon. The Banana Slugs scored the game's lone goal with a little over three minutes left in the first half. With the loss, CLU falls to 4-3 overall.

CLU freshman Alex Wardle made an attacking-run with less than two minutes left in the match and was taken down in the penalty box. The sideline judge initially ruled it a Penalty Kick but was overruled by the head referee and no penalty kick was rewarded.

The Kingsmen had five shots in both the first and second half. Kyle Fleming led the way with two shots.

Rey Rivera-Ramos was strong in goal recording six saves.

The Kingsmen resume SCIAC play this Wednesday when they travel to Eagle Rock to take on Occidental at 4:00 p.m.
