REDLANDS, Calif. - Cal Lutheran women's tennis dropped a road conference dual match with No. 27 Redlands by an 8-1 result on Wednesday afternoon. Kim Kolibas and Holly Beaman teamed up at first doubles to score the Regals point.

Kolibas and Beaman improved their season record to 8-4, 3-1 SCIAC following a convincing 8-1 win over Jessica Ly and Shannon Cassidy. The Regals pairing recently moved up to No. 7 in the last Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) West region doubles rankings.
All three winning doubles teams surrendered two or fewer games on their way to victories. Redlands led 2-1 heading into singles play and earned five of its six singles wins in straight sets.
Cal Lutheran's Lindsay Murphy took the first set of her No. 3 singles match by a 6-1 margin. Her opponent Ceara Sumida rallied to take the second set and the super tiebreak for a 1-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-4) win to close out the match.
Cal Lutheran (9-6, 2-2 SCIAC) will play the second of three straight conference matches over a four-day stretch on Friday, April 13, against Whittier (8-6, 2-2 SCIAC).
