THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - The 2012 NCAA Division III Volleyball Cal Lutheran Regional is underway at the Gilbert Sports and Fitness Center in the Gilbert Arena. Eight teams from across the west coast have gathered at Cal Lutheran as part of the 64 remaining teams from the nation.

Six of the eight teams competing are ranked among the top-25 programs in the nation, announced by the AVCA earlier this week.

Match one will see No. 21 Chapman (23-6) play No. 16 Pacific Lutheran (20-5) at 12:30 p.m. to kick the weekend off.

The second match will be between No. 12 Puget Sound (19-5) and No. 18 Colorado College (23-9) at 3:00 p.m.

Match three of the afternoon will pit No. 25 La Verne (21-5) against Hardin-Simmons (29-3) at 5:30 p.m.

In the final contest of the day, No. 7 Cal Lutheran (27-4) will host Southwestern (20-15) in an 8:00 p.m. match.

Saturday the victorious teams from the opening two matches will meet at 3:00 p.m. followed by the other two winning teams in the 6:00 p.m. match.

On Sunday, Nov. 11, the two remaining teams will play in the regional final at 12:00 p.m. to earn the right to move on to play for the National Title in Holland, Mich. Nov. 15-17.
