LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. – Cal Lutheran women's volleyball senior
Keegan Corley has been named SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week after anchoring the Regals' defense through a perfect 2-0 week.
Corley was a force in the back row as Cal Lutheran swept both Redlands and Pomona-Pitzer, totaling 52 digs across the two matches while averaging 8.67 digs per set. She saved her biggest defensive performance for Saturday's matchup against the Sagehens, recording 29 digs in the sweep — her highest single-match dig total in a three-set match this season.
The senior also made an impact beyond the back row, adding 12 assists over the two matches. Her performance against Pomona-Pitzer included a career-high 10 assists, helping the Regals remain undefeated in conference play.
With Corley leading the defensive effort, Cal Lutheran extended its winning streak to four matches. The Regals' 4-0 SCIAC start is the program's best since 2015, when Cal Lutheran went on to capture the NCAA Division III national championship.
The weekly honor is Corley's second of the season and the fourth of her career, adding another accolade to an impressive start to the 2026 campaign.
Corley and the Regals look to further extend their winning streak to five matches tomorrow, October 6, when they travel to Occidental for a 7 p.m. first serve.
