REDLANDS, Calif. - Three second-half goals scored by Redlands within a ten minute block of time created too large a lead for Cal Lutheran to overcome as the host Bulldogs defeated the Kingsmen 7-0 Wednesday afternoon.

Surviving an initial attack by Redlands that saw the Bulldogs score their first goal in the seventh minute of the match, the Kingsmen responded with an offensive outburst of their own throughout the following 14 minutes in an attempt to net the equalizer.

Beginning with midfielder Ivan Sanchez' blocked attempt, five different Kingsmen were responsible for a flurry of shots taken at Redlands goalkeeper Andreas Silver.

Sanchez ended the game with a team-high three shots, followed by midfielder Luis Santana, forward Raul Yepez, and defender Enrique Zaragoza who recorded two shots apiece.

As a team, Cal Lutheran finished the game with 13 shots, seven of which were earned in the first half.

Doubling its lead in the 34th minute, Redlands netting another five throughout the second half to extend its home win streak to five games to remain the SCIAC's only squad with an undefeated conference record.

Kingsmen goalkeeper Rey Rivera-Ramos ended the game with 10 saves, setting a new career high just 10 days after tying his previous total at Mt. Clef Stadium against the same team.

Cal Lutheran (1-12, 1-8 SCIAC) will complete its four game road trip this Saturday, Oct. 15 against Caltech (1-11, 1-7 SCIAC), kick-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
