2013 (Water Polo)
Transitioned from a goalie to a field player during her sophomore campaign…appeared in 26 games, earning one start against Pomona-Pitzer (Mar. 1)…tied for third on the team with six field blocks…had 11 steals with six goals, five assists and a drawn ejection…recorded a field block in her first game of the season against UCLA (Feb. 9)…scored two goals against Pacific (Feb. 17)…twice recorded a pair of steals in a game, against CSU Bakersfield (Feb. 16) and Chapman (Apr. 28) in the final game of the season.

2012 (Water Polo)
Started all six games she appeared in during her debut season at CLU...finished with 35 saves...also had six assists and six steals...ended the year with a 3.45 goals against average.

Great Oak High School
Member of the Wolfpack varsity water polo team for three seasons...member of varsity swim team for four seasons...earned first team All-Southwestern League and All-Valley honors in 2011...member of first GOHS team to qualify for CIF's in school history...recorded most saves by a keeper in GOHS program history.

Full name: Skylar Ariel Vasquez...born on December 14, 1992 in Palos Hills, Ill...is the oldest of Scott and Launa Vasquez's four children...brother Scottie competes in water polo and swimming at the HS level...also has a brother Saxton and sister Scarlet...family currently resides in Temecula, Calif...currently majoring in art...career goal is to become an art teacher or art director...volunteered with Relay for Life from 2009-11...reasons for coming to Cal Lutheran include its "small campus and good professors."
