2017 (Volleyball) Capped off his two-year career at CLU leading the way in several categories…one of four players to appear in all 25 matches, playing in a team-high 90 sets for the Kingsmen…led the defense with 227 digs as the starting libero for 2.52 digs per set…finished with eight kills on 30 swings for a .133 hitting percentage, 41 assists, two service aces and 10.5 total points…recorded one block assist against Moorpark College (Apr. 4) in his final career contest…had nine double-figure dig matches…notched a career-high 27 digs against Wittenberg (Ohio)(Feb. 24).

2016 (Volleyball) - Season Stats Enhanced Stats
Appeared in all 30 matches and 116 sets as the primary libero during the inaugural NCAA men’s volleyball season at CLU as a junior…made his CLU debut against CSUN (Jan. 20)…finished the season with 281 digs, 42 assists, 18 kills, seven service aces, and one block…team leader in digs…set a career-high with 20 digs against Wittenberg (Jan. 29). 

Moorpark College 
Graduated in 2015…played two years of volleyball…earned First Team All-League, was Team MVP, and was Moorpark’s John Keever award winner…also was in the top five in state for number of digs.

Simi Valley High School 
Graduated in 2012… played four years of varsity volleyball and two years of varsity basketball for the Pioneers…tied the school record for the most three pointers made in a single game, tally nine.

Full name: Jamal Balkhi…born on December 5, 1993 in Los Angeles, Calif…parents are Moiz and Sharon Balkhi… has two siblings, Asdam (29) and Shakila (26) who played collegiate volleyball…majoring in Biology…career goal is to become a Biomechanical Engineer...greatest personal sports moment was having the game winning kill as a DS…chose CLU because of the small class sizes, the new volleyball program, and it is close to home.
