2018 (Baseball)
Made 14 starts as a senior for the Kingsmen as the team’s Friday starter… Finished with a 3.91 ERA and 5-6 record… Allowed 33 earned runs on 97 hits in 76.0 innings of work with 13 walks and 73 strikeouts… Averaged 8.64 strikeouts per nine innings… Now holds the school record with 78 total appearances… Finished fourth in program history in innings pitched (259.1 innings), fourth in strikeouts (209), and fifth in saves (8)... Recorded a season-high nine strikeouts twice in the season… First against Occidental on February 28, giving up just three earned runs on seven hits in seven innings of work without allowing a walk… The second against Whittier on April 6 leading the team to a 13-3 victory… In a pivotal game one in the final series of the season against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, Wehner kept the team’s playoff hopes alive with seven shutout innings while fanning three for his most dominant start of the season.
2017 (Baseball)
Member of 2017 NCAA Division III National Championship team…named to the DIII All-Tournament Team at the College World Series after throwing 16.1 total innings, with a complete game to keep CLU alive in a must-win situation, and 15 strikeouts in the tournament…named First Team All-SCIAC...started 12 games as a junior and appeared in 22…produced a 10-3 record to share the team-lead with Marshall Pautsch and finish eighth in DIII for wins…earned ABCA Third Team All-West Region honors…one of two pitchers on staff to exceed 100 innings of work with 110.2…tossed four complete games with a shutout against Chapman (Apr. 1)…also earned three saves against La Verne (Feb. 16), Occidental (Feb. 25) and Whittier (Mar. 14)…held opponents to a .274 batting average against…finished with a 2.68 ERA while striking out 79…defensively, perfect in 20 chances with 15 assists and five putouts, for a 1.000 fielding percentage...seven runners were caught stealing while on the mound.
2016 (Baseball)
Earned ABCA Third Team All-West Region recognition…selected to the Second Team All-SCIAC as a sophomore pitcher…emerged as a go-to-guy, leading the team with 27 appearances…started three times…finished with a 5-4 record and four saves…righty held opposing batters to a team-low .168 batting average against in 45.1 innings of action…notched a 2.58 ERA…struck out 35 batters…will be integral part of pitching staff for remainder of his career.
2015 (Baseball)
Made 15 appearances including two starts during his freshman campaign…finished the season 2-0 with a 0.33 ERA and 22 strikeouts in 27.1 innings pitched…made his first career start and earned his first career win after throwing four innings while striking out three during a 13-1 win over Caltech (Apr. 26)…made his second and biggest start of the season in a SCIAC Postseason Tournament elimination game against La Verne on May 3…tossed seven shutout innings allowing just three hits and struck out seven in a 14-0 victory.
