2017 (Football)
All-SCIAC FIRST TEAM…Played in all eight games of his senior year as a staple in the defensive line… Finished with 44 total tackles, 24 solo and 20 assisted… Team’s leader in both tackles for loss (8.5-37) and sacks (6.0-29)... Closed out the year with his best defensive performance versus Redlands, notching 15 tackles and 1.5 sacks for a loss of 6 yards… Also recorded one reception for seven yards at Chapman and a broken pass at Pomona Pitzer... inducted into the CLU Scholar-Athlete Society for the first time. 

Moorpark
Played one year in 2014…was named to the All-League team. 

Dixie State

Played football in 2015 and ’16…helped the team to the best record in school history. 

Thousand Oaks High School
Graduated in 2012…played varsity football for three years and varsity lacrosse for two…competing for the Lancers, he was a three-time All-Marmonte League performer, First Team All-County and a Daily News All-Star…he is the all-time sack leader at Thousand Oaks…he helped lead his team to the CIF semis in 2011…his greatest personal moment was defeating Moorpark in overtime on a jump pass.

Full name: Dane Griffin…born December 10, 1993…parents are Robert and Dinah Griffin…has a sister named Sierra who competed for the dance team in high school…has two pets, a German Shepherd named Badger and a Malamute named Denal…he enjoys playing football because of the brotherhood and because he gets to sack quarterbacks…he has volunteered for the Jewish Student Community…he is majoring in communications with career goals of making millions and skiing everyday…he chose CLU because it’s close to home and it has a great campus and football program.
