Three Kingsmen represent Cal Lutheran on the 2025 baseball All-SCIAC teams, including
Luke Wechsler, who earned SCIAC Pitcher of the Year. Wechsler and outfielder
Lucas Danielewicz were selected for First Team All-SCIAC, and graduate student pitcher
Leo Bristow was named Second Team All-SCIAC.
Wechler won SCIAC Pitcher of the Week twice over the course of the season and finished with a 7-1 record with a 2.35 earned run average. He tallied a season-high ten strikeouts against Cornell College and threw a two-hit complete game against Chapman. As a sophomore, Wechler earned Second Team All-SCIAC, and throughout his career he has an ERA of 3.23 over 270.0 innings pitched.Â
Danielewicz was named First Team All-SCIAC for the first time in his career. He ranked third in the SCIAC in batting average, fourth in OPS, fourth in hits, third in on-base percentage, and first in doubles. Against Cornell College, Danielewicz recorded five RBIs while going 3/4. Danielewicz led the Kingsmen's offense all season and ended his season batting .419 with 62 hits and 40 RBIs.
Bristow was a part of the one-two punch on the mound along with Wechsler and earned Second Team All-SCIAC. Bristow left his mark in his first season with Cal Lutheran as he finished the season with a 2.45 ERA and a 6-3 record. He also received two SCIAC Pitcher of the Week awards for his performances against George Fox and La Verne.
