CLAREMONT, Calif. — The Regals made a deep SCIAC tournament run, but it was cut just short as Cal Lutheran fell to the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens, 17-6.

Izzy de Souza led the way as Knight scored and had two assists while de Souza tallied 10 saves.
Megan Findlay also put two goals on the stat sheet.
The Sagehens opened the game with a 10-0 lead in the first half and added four more in the third quarter to increase their advantage to 14-0.
Cal Lutheran would not go down without a fight as they dominated the fourth quarter.
Bethany Metcalfe scored the first of the Regals' six to open the scoring. Later in the quarter, Cal Lutheran went on a five-goal run to close out the game. Within the last three minutes, the Regals beat the goalie and rattled the cage four separate times.
The Purple & Gold put together an incredible season against top competition and finished 7-5 in conference play; 14-15 overall.
