THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Cal Lutheran's four-game winning streak ended with a 13-2 loss to the Dickinson Red Devils on Wednesday afternoon.
The Kingsmen gave up six runs in the second inning to put themselves in an early hole, before
Jona Dawson chipped away at the deficit with a sacrifice flyout to right field.
Lucas Danielewicz scored to cut the lead to 6-1.
The Red Devils responded instantly with five more runs in the top of the third inning and two more in the sixth.
Jacob Blickenderfer recorded an RBI for the Kingsmen in the seventh for their second run of the game.
Danielewicz, Boston Ujimori,
Wes Lynch, and
Ryan Farr each found the stat sheet with a hit, while
Oscar Lopez and
Frank Willius both had scoreless innings coming out of the bullpen.
Cal Lutheran will have a chance to get back on track with a three-game home series against Middlebury College starting on Sunday, March 16, at 11:00 a.m.
