Matthew Verkamp was named SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week (AOW) for his effort in Cal Lutheran's 71-59 victory over Whitman last Friday evening.

Verkamp dropped a team-high 20 points on 8/13 from the field and 3/5 from three-point range. He made his lone free-throw attempt and added five rebounds, an assist, and a steal.

The junior from Beaverton, Oregon leads the Kingsmen in minutes and rebounds so far this season, and he is second in points while averaging 14.0 per game and shooting 93.8% from the free-throw line.

Verkamp and Cal Lutheran will host NYU tomorrow at 2pm and George Fox on Friday at 5pm.
