CLAREMONT, Calif. — Cal Lutheran women's lacrosse reset the record book in the 2024 season, individually and career, as they played they played the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens on Saturday afternoon.
The Regals broke nearly every career, season, and game mark this year. They got their first win and conference win in a historic season.
Meghan Angus scored both goals to lead the Regals. Sydney Shin had the most ground balls with three, Angus caused two turnovers, and Madison Soforenko had four draw controls. Bella Bravo was in goal and made 16 saves.
After the Sagehens scored the first goal of the game, Angus got the Regals on the board to quickly tie it. The Sagehens kept the points coming and took a 7-1 lead after the first quarter. Angus scored her second goal in the second quarter but was outscored 8-1 and down 15-2 at the half. The Sagehens cruised the rest of the way and took the game.
The Regals finished the season with a record of 4-13 and were 2-10 in conference play.
