THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – No. 4 Cal Lutheran men's water polo celebrated Senior Day on Saturday morning, battling with No. 1 Pomona-Pitzer at Samuelson Aquatics Center. The Kingsmen fell short to the Sagehens in the match by a score of 13-7.

Justin Boals were recognized for all they have accomplished over the course of their careers.
Levi Cook ignited the offense for Kingsmen (12-1, 5-3 SCIAC) in the first period, kicking off what would be a low-scoring first half. After eight minutes of play, CLU and Pomona were tied just 2-2 going into the second quarter.
The Sagehens (16-10, 7-1 SCIAC) took the lead in the second, scoring only two more goals. With less than a minute left in the quarter, Eade added one, making it 4-3 in favor of Pomona at halftime.
It was an almost silent period for the Kingsmen in the third while the Sagehens pressed on the gas, scoring four goals in a span of four minutes. With just a second left,
Alan Castillo was able to tally on one for Cal Lutheran, but they still had catching up to do.
Pomona dominated offensively again in the final quarter, out-scoring the Kingsmen 5-2 and taking the game.
Jaeger Gonzales had an impressive performance in goal, racking up 16 saves and keeping the Kingsmen in the game despite their offensive shortcomings.
Zane Hermann led the team with two goals, followed by Cook,
Brody Swarm, Eade,
Lincoln Hall, and Castillo who all had one each.
The Kingsmen look to get back to their winning ways, continuing their season on Wednesday, November 6th. They remain at home, hosting La Verne at 4:00 PM.
