WHITTIER, Calif. – Avery West scored her second goal of the season for the Regals (11-2-4, 9-2 SCIAC) in the 80th minute, assisted by Jessice Sprouse, securing a crucial victory on the road against Whittier College (7-5-2, 5-4-1 SCIAC).

The first half concluded without any goals, as both teams demonstrated great defensive play. Each team had several opportunities to score, but neither could convert during the opening 45 minutes.

The Regals showcased their offensive capabilities with seven shots on goal from six different players, putting pressure on their opponents throughout the match.

This match quickly ramped up in the second half when the Poets managed to strike first in the 67th minute, taking the lead and putting the Regals on the back foot. However, Sprouse responded swiftly, leveling the playing field with a goal just five minutes later, demonstrating the Regals' resilience and fighting spirit.

In the end, after the score was tied at 1-1, West's goal in the 80th minute clinched the Regals' 11th victory of the season.

Kira Kasarda delivered another strong performance as goalkeeper, making four saves against the Poets.

With just one regular season game remaining, the Regals are now focusing on their next game against the University of Redlands, scheduled for Wednesday, October 30th at 7:00 PM.
