THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Cal Lutheran men's water polo started their 2023 season at the Air Force Rare Air Challenge on Saturday afternoon. The Kingsmen took on Division UC Davis and fell 22-9. 
 
Cormac Flanders and Nic Mastopoalo scored two goals each and Kayden Sourbeer, Brody Swarm, Adam Dow, Zachary Isaac, and Lincoln Hall had one each. 
 
Bo DuBois was in goal for three quarters and Daniel Johnson saw action for one. Dubois made five saves and Johnson had two. 
 
Jack Bradbury made two steals while three other Kingsmen had one. Dow and Luke Matthies both had an assist. 
 
The Kingsmen played well against the Division I opponent and had a shooting percentage of .450. 
 
Cal Lutheran is back in action tomorrow and plays Johns Hopkins at noon PST and Air Force at 5.
