THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Cal Lutheran women's volleyball scored 20-plus points in every set, including 24 in sets two and three, but fell to Texas Lutheran 3-0 on Friday night.
 
The Regals capped off day one of the Cal Lu Fornia Invitational with the Bulldogs. They have two more games tomorrow.

Sadie Peete recorded her first double-double of the season with 14 kills and 12 digs. Amy Buffini was next with 11 kills and Tarin Rueckert added nine. Am. Buffini had seven digs and Reuckert had five total blocks. 
 
Tess Holbert and Kylee Grimm split time at the setter position and had 16 and 14 assists, respectively. Alysha Buffini helped protect the back line and had a career-high 27 digs. 
 
The Regals look to bounce back on Saturday. They play St. Thomas (Tex.) at 1 p.m. and University of Texas-Dallas at 7.
