MOORPARK, Calif. — Cal Lutheran men's cross country kicked off the season by finishing third with 100 points at the Moorpark Invite on Friday morning. The women's team came in seventh with 151 points.

Eric Talbert finished fourth in the race and finished 57 seconds faster than last year. He clocked a time of 20 minutes and 51.5 seconds.
In his first race at Cal Lutheran,
Joseph Roberts finished top 20 and placed 18
th with 22:57.40.
George Gaitanis made it three Kingsmen in the top 20 and was 20
th with 23:08.5.
Also competing for the men's team were
Sebastian Sawyer,
Max Segeberg,
Joe Lopez Vasquez, and
Ian Skrinde.
On the women's side,
Brooke Hougo was the top finisher and clocked a time of 20:56.90 which earned her 14th place.
Tianna Karr was next for the Regals and placed 36
th with a time of 25:03.40.
Isabela Garcia-Work recorded a time of 27:19.40 and was 44
th.
Dinkenesh Coltvet and
Kendall Fleming also raced for the Regals.
The teams are back in action next weekend. Both compete at the Biola Invite on Friday with the start time TBA.
