"What an incredible finish to the regular season," head coach Frank Marino said. "Our seniors came out and set the tone getting us three goals in the first half. Proud of this team for being SCIAC champs for the first time since 2017. We have a special group with a great culture and hope to keep it going as we move forward."

With the win, Cal Lutheran stays undefeated and clinches the No. 1 seed in the SCIAC Tournament. They share the top spot in SCIAC with Pomona-Pitzer, both sporting an undefeated record of 9-0-3 in the conference.

Before the match, the Regals celebrated their graduating class of Logan Duford, Fisicaro, Jalynne Magana, Orr, Eden Quiroz, and Sophia Saiki.

The Regals shot out of a cannon to start, scoring three unanswered goals in the first 24 minutes. Orr began the run by getting a goal to get the Regals on the board in just the 4th minute. Fisicaro followed it up by recording her first goal of the season with an assist coming from Anna Evenson. Shott then found the net, finishing a tic-tac-toe play assisted by Evenson and Avery West to push the lead to 3-0.

Chapman answered back in the 33rd minute, getting their first and only goal via a free kick. The half concluded with Cal Lutheran enjoying a 3-1 lead, where the score would stay for the remainder of the match.

The Regals played shutdown defense to keep the Panthers off the board in the second half, limiting them to just one shot. Duford and Kelsey Slaugh split time in goal, with Slaugh recording their only save.

Cal Lutheran concludes their historic season with a record of 14-0-4 (9-0-3 SCIAC) while Chapman finishes at 6-5-5 (5-4-3 SCIAC). The Regals now look ahead to the playoffs, where they will host Chapman once again in the SCIAC tournament on Thursday at 7 p.m.
