THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Cal Lutheran women's volleyball was on the road and fell to Chapman 3-1 on Saturday. Scores of the match were 18-25, 15-25, 25-22, and 22-25. 

Amy Buffini recorded a career-high in digs with 26 as she led the defense. The Regals' defense was hard at work as five recorded double-digit digs. After Buffini, Tarin Rueckert had 16 digs, Sadie Peete recorded 12, Caitlin Murphy tallied 11, and Tess Holbert had 10. 

Peete and Holbert recorded their ninth double-double of the year. Peete had 11 kills to go with her digs and Holbert tallied 30 assists. 

The Regals recorded nine blocks in all compared to the Panthers' six. Kira Mortensen had six block assists, Holbert tallied four, and Murphy and Brooklyne Miko had three each. 

Mortensen controlled the net, and on top of her blocks, was second on the team with eight kills. She recorded an impressive hitting percentage of .438. 

The Regals found themselves in a hole as the Panthers took the first two sets. The Regals fired back in the third. With the score tied at 7, the Regals went on a run and scored five straight points. Mortensen recorded two kills and combined with Holbert for a block. A little bit later in the set, the Regals added another 5-point run and took the third set. The fourth set went back and forth with 10 ties and six lead changes. The Panthers took the final lead of the set at 19-15. They held off the Regals and took the match. 

The Regals (8-14, 6-6 SCIAC) are back in action on Tuesday. They welcome Occidental to Gilbert Arena with first serve set for 7 p.m.
