CLAREMONT, Calif. - Meeting with identical Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) records, the Cal Lutheran men's basketball team suffered a close loss on the road to host Claremont-Mudd-Scripps,63-58, for the second time this season.

Offensive Highlights: The Kingsmen looked to Sam Cirillo for a share of the game-high with 13 points while Dan Wade tallied 10. Both Austin Cole and Jeremy Sulker-Hall were a point shy of double digits with nine apiece. Cal Lutheran was solid at the free-throw line, going 20-for-22 with perfect performances from Cole (7-for-7), Wade (4-for-4), Apele (2-for-2) and Justin Kam (2-for-2) who came off the bench to log 27 minutes.

Defensive Highlights: CLU combined for 29 rebounds, led by five from Sulker-Hall with Cirillo and Cole grabbing four apiece. Two of the four steals came from senior Lanaki Apele.

The Opponent: The Stags shot 40.8 percent from the floor with Michael Scarlett matching Cirillo by scoring 13 as one of three CMS players in double figures. Jack Earley led all players with eight rebounds. The hot team notched seven blocks.

Notables: Tonight was the third straight road game for the Kingsmen.

Next Up: Cal Lutheran (9-11, 5-8 SCIAC) caps off a four game road stint on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at Chapman with a scheduled 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
