LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Cal Lutheran women's soccer team found the back of the net early in the second half to take the 1-0 victory against Occidental in a Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) matchup on Saturday.
Offensive Highlights: The lone goal of the match came off the foot of Ryley Settles in the 47th minute, marking her team-leading fifth goal on the season. Kali Youngdahl also contributed a shot on target for the Regals in the second half. Cal Lutheran finished the match with six shots total, two of them on target.
Defensive Highlights: Coral Hasley was in goal for the full 90 minutes, and recorded three saves. Tonight's match marks Hasley's fifth shutout this season, and brought her season saves total up to 30.
The Opponent: The Tigers finished with 10 shots total, three of them on target. Erin Iacullo, Julie Khil, and Megan Maher each contributed a shot on target. Sydney Tomlinson and Dallas Gunny each played 45 minutes between the posts for Occidental.
Cal Lutheran (9-1-1, 4-1-1 SCIAC) will return to their home turf inside Rolland Stadium on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 7:00 p.m. for a SCIAC match against Whittier.
