THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - Cal Lutheran earned its first victory via sweep this season following a 9-0 home win over Biola on Tuesday afternoon. Nine different Regals contributed to the victory highlighted by all six singles victories coming in straight sets.

Results: CLU 9, BIOLA 0 - F

Teammates Jordan Leckness and Lindsay Murphy teamed up at No. 2 doubles earning a convincing 8-0 victory. The regionally ranked pairing of Kim Kolibas and Holly Beaman won 8-2 at No. 1, and Sarah Baker and Toohey completed the doubles sweep with an 8-6 win at No. 3.

Beaman and Kolibas are 4-2 as a doubles team this season with their losses coming to a pair of regionally ranked opponents. The pair make up two of three members of the senior class that are leading this team in 2012.



Jacqueline Ramsay and Danica Engstrom cruised to victories at No. 5 and No. 6 singles respectively in their first official action this season. Kolibas picked up her first singles win of the season winning 6-1, 6-3 over Biola's Mariah Pace.

Cal Lutheran (5-2, 1-0 SCIAC) will host Pomona-Pitzer (0-0, 0-0 SCIAC) on Friday, March 2.
