WHITTIER, Calif. - CLU women's soccer stretched its shutout streak to over 13 hours following the team's eighth straight shutout victory at Whittier on Saturday. Jen Jones supplied the game-winner 97 seconds into regulation as the Regals downed the Poets 4-0.

One shot, one goal and Cal Lutheran never looked back. The Regals earned a second minute corner kick and Jen Jones finished off the service from Sinead Vaughan for the go-ahead score.
Vaughan contributed her 12th assist of the season and is only one shy of Cal Lutheran's program record 13 set in 1994. She would later score on her own in the 25th minute putting the Regals up by two.
Teammate Nicole Rains score only 69 seconds after Vaughan's tally providing a 3-0 score that would hold until halftime. Today marked seventh time over the past nine contests that Rains has contributed either a goal or an assist for the Regals.
Mayra Virgen led all players taking four shots including three second half attempts. After having the first two blocked she broke through with her seventh score on the season in the 62nd minute of play.
Kristin Bailey and Tina Hedwall split goalkeeper duties to notch the team's 13th shutout in 17 games this season.
Cal Lutheran (17-1-0, 10-0-0 SCIAC) will play its final regular season home match on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. against Pomona-Pitzer.
