MacKinnon (Orcutt, Calif.) earned the SCIAC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week honor for the first time this year. He set a season-best mark in the shot put at 12.88 meters (42 feet, 3.25 inches) to place fifth at the Westmont Collegiate Classic. The senior also finished runner-up in the hammer throw at 42.21m.
