O'Connor (Minnetonka, Minn.) earned the Defensive Athlete of the Week award for the second time this year. The senior was the mainstay of the Kingsmen's suffocating defense as they recorded victories over Illinois Wesleyan University, 58-52, and Kalamazoo College, 86-49. In 33 minutes off the bench, he helped limit each opponent to just a single double-digit scorer  (11 and 15 points) while nabbing a steal, dishing out five assists against just a single turnover, and scoring 10 points on 67 percent shooting, including knocking down both his three-point attempts.
