O’Connor (Minnetonka, Minn.) earned the first Defensive Athlete of the Week award of the year. The senior locked down the perimeter with his relentless on-ball defense to lead the Kingsmen to a pair of victories over North Central and Puget Sound. The Kingsmen allowed just 116 points combined for a winning margin of 37. Puget Sound was 1-14 from three while North Central was 7-19. O’Connor chipped in five points, four assists, and six rebounds over 39 minutes of court time.
