Kira Mortensen was named to the Cal Lutheran women's volleyball coaching staff in the summer of 2025. She primarily works with the middle blockers and pin hitters.

Mortensen attended Cal Lutheran and played on the Regal's Volleyball team from 2020-2024. During her career she racked up 376 blocks, placing her second in program history. She led the nation in blocks per set in her final season with the Regals and earned All-Region and All-American Honorable Mention honors. 

She received a B.A. in Film and Television in 2024.
