Jonathan Garcia was named an Assistant Coach for the Cal Lutheran women's tennis team in March of 2024. 

He has been a USPTA-certified elite professional since 2019 and was a former tennis professional at Barton Creek in Austin, Texas.

He has a BS in Sports Medicine with a 6-month internship in an injury clinic where he worked in rehabilitation. His former mentor was former ATP professional Christo Van Rensburg. Jonathan spent some time assisting Van Rensburg with training WTA professional Fernanda Contreras Gomez among other players. 

Jonathan started playing tennis in 2006 as a junior. He enjoys coaching strategy and fundamentals. He also enjoys learning about and sharing new sports psychology methods. 

In his spare time, Jonathan enjoys keeping up with the ATP & WTA tours and playing RPG games.
