Budd Booth was added to the Cal Lutheran women's tennis coaching staff in February of 2025.
Budd is a Southern California native, grew up in Camarillo, and attended Camarillo High School.
Budd played tennis for Camarillo HS and competed in USTA tournaments throughout California and the United States. After a very successful junior tennis career, Budd went on to play Division-I tennis for Northern Illinois University. He earned a degree in Business and after a number of years as a tennis teaching professional, he found his niche as a high school teacher and tennis coach. Budd spent the last 21 years at Houston Memorial High School as a Special Education teacher and the Head Tennis Coach; he retired in December of 2024. He had established one of the top tennis programs in the state of Texas, winning 10 State Championships, 15-straight Regional Championships, a Girls' High School UTR National Championship, and he coached over 40 student athletes that went on to play at the collegiate level. Budd was named High School Coach of the Year 8 times.
