THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – No. 14 Cal Lutheran women's soccer continued its dominant start to the 2026 season Friday night, blanking George Fox University 2-0 at William Rolland Stadium.
The Regals (2-0-0) controlled the match from start to finish, firing 34 shots while holding the Bruins (0-1-0) without a single attempt. Cal Lutheran put 15 shots on target and earned 10 corner kicks, while George Fox managed just one corner kick.
Olivia Suarez opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, finding the back of the net off an assist from
Stephenie Hackett to give the Regals a 1-0 lead. Suarez struck again just under four minutes into the second half, this time converting a corner from
Keira Hazard to double the Cal Lutheran advantage.
The Regals' defense continued to keep the Bruins' attack in check throughout the match, allowing no shots on goal and therefore no saves for the Cal Lutheran keepers.

Kaitlyn Kensinger made her collegiate debut, helping preserve the shutout.
Cal Lutheran continued to apply pressure throughout the second half, finishing with a 20-0 advantage in shots after halftime. The Regals also saw nearly their entire bench contribute valuable minutes as they maintained control throughout the match.
The Regals get Saturday off before returning to action Sunday, September 6, hosting Illinois Tech. The Scarlet Hawks are currently receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches/IWSOC Division III national poll.
