Howie Named SCIAC AOW for Second Time, Fourth Special Teams AOW for Kingsmen

Kyle Howie earned SCIAC Special Teams Athlete of the Week (AOW) for the second time this season after his impressive performance in Cal Lutheran's 21-18 victory over CMS on Saturday.

The talented punter recorded 201 yards on four attempts (50.3 average) with a long of 61 yards, an additional punt of over 50 yards, and three of his four kicks pinned CMS inside its own 20-yard line. The senior from Oak Park flipped the field multiple times, giving the Kingsmen defense breathing room on a number of drives.

This marks the second time that Howie has been named AOW for his punting heroics, as he earned the same honor after Cal Lutheran's first game of the season against Pacific Lutheran. It also marks the fourth time in 2025 that a member of the Kingsmen special teams unit has been anointed as AOW.

Howie and the Kingsmen will look to finish the season strong with a road game at Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday. A win would secure a berth in the SCIAC Championship the following weekend.
