Kellee Roesel

Head Coach, Women's Volleyball
Assistant Coach Men's Volleyball

Kellee Roesel concluded her 10th season at the helm of the Regals in 2015 as she reached the ultimate prize by coaching her group to the first NCAA Division III National Championship in Cal Lutheran history.

She continues to be one of the top Division III coaches in the country. In 2015 she guided the Regals to a 31-5 record and the first title in program history after winning the NCAA Division III Thousand Oaks Regional and sharing a sixth straight SCIAC crown. A trio of AVCA All-America selections paced the pack and Kevin Judd was honored as the Assitant Coach of the Year, aiding in the success.

In 2014 Roesel led CLU to a 29-3 record, its fifth straight SCIAC title, third straight SCIAC Postseason Tournament title and seventh straight NCAA Tournament appearance. The Regals led the nation in Kills Per Set (14.17) and Assists Per Set (13.21) and Roesel was named AVCA West Region Coach of the Year for the third time in her career.

The 2013 season was a banner year for the Regals and Roesel. Already the all-time winningest coach in program history, Roesel led the Regals to the 2013 Division III National Championship game were they narrowly fell in five-set thriller. The Regals had the best season in program history, going 35-2, including a 29 game win-streak. In addtition to capturing her fourth straight SCIAC title, Roesel also collected her 200th win while coach at CLU and saw her players, Kylie McLogan and Jackie Russell ascend to the top of the school record charts in kills and digs, respectively.

Roesel was named the 2012 DIII American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) West Region Coach of the Year after guiding Cal Lutheran to their third-straight SCIAC championship and second consecutive NCAA Tournament No. 1 West Region seed. It was her second coach of the year honor in the past three seasons.

Kevin Judd

Head Coach, Men's Volleyball
Assistant Coach, Women's Volleyball

Kevin Judd was hired in January 2015 as the first head NCAA men’s volleyball coach in Cal Lutheran history. No stranger to CLU, Judd has served as an assistant coach for the women’s program since 2006, primarily overseeing the outside hitters and setters.

In the fall of 2015, Judd was named the AVCA Assistant Coach of the Year as he helped guide the Regals to a National title, the first NCAA Division III team championship in school history.

Under his guidance, Cal Lutheran has produced four All-American outside hitters since 2009. Judd help coached Kylie McLogan to record-breaking seasons in 2012 and 2013. A two-time First Team All-American, McLogan shattered the CLU single season record with 471 kills in only her second year in the program (2012) and followed with 520 as a senior in 2013. Most recently, he coached Allie Eason to a pair of All-America honors as an outside hitter in 2013 (Third Team) and 2014 (First Team). She is currently fifth all-time at CLU and will make a run at McLogan’s school mark in her senior year (2015).
