Generals Surge Past Kingsmen

A week after opening the spring and SCIAC competition both, the Cal Lutheran men’s tennis team returned to non-conference action, hosting Washington & Lee (Va.) for a dual match at the Poulson Tennis Center this afternoon. The Generals opened a 3-0 lead before earning the 9-0 win.

Kingsmen Comeback to Rally Past Poets in SCIAC Opener

A day after the season opener was cancelled due to rain, the Cal Lutheran men’s tennis team got to compete for the first time. In the SCIAC opening match of the spring, CLU and Whittier battled through all nine matches with the host Kingsmen topping the Poets 5-4 in an exciting finish.

A pair of ITA ranked men’s tennis teams were staged to meet at the Poulson Tennis Center this afternoon, but rainfall forced a cancellation between No. 28 Brandeis (Mass.) and No. 34 Cal Lutheran.

CLU to Host Special Olympics Delegations

The largest sporting event in Los Angeles since the 1984 Olympics is coming to town and California Lutheran University and the city of Thousand Oaks are honored to be hosting Special Olympic World Games delegations from four countries between July 21-24, 2015 prior to the start of competition on July 25 as a Host Town.

Six Cal Lutheran student-athletes were selected to The Star’s College First Team of the Spring in 2015. Earning accolades were Ramsey Abushahla (baseball), Michael Bassette (track & field), Moises Cardenas (tennis), Blake Lewis (softball), Keegan Sheard (golf) and Melissa Skiba (track & field).

Learfield Directors' Cup Standings Announced

At the conclusion of each academic and athletic year the school with the most combined championships points in Division III is honored with the Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup. In 2014-15 Cal Lutheran was one of eight SCIAC schools to appear in the final standings as announced on June 4.
