CLU Golf All-Decade Team Announced

To open the decade the Cal Lutheran golf team won back-to-back SCIAC Championships in 2000 and 2001 and the team placed 15th in the nation in consecutive seasons in 2004 and 2005 at the NCAA Championships, the best national finish for the program since it took 14th in 1993.

Cal Lutheran to Release All-Decade Teams Over Upcoming Months

The CLU athletics department will be honoring its finest athletes over the past 10 years by releasing Cal Lutheran All-Decade Teams throughout the upcoming summer. The reigning SCIAC Champion football team will be the first of 19 programs to have its all-decade team announced, schedule to be released on Monday, May 24.

CLU Scholar-Athlete Society Inducts 91 for 2009-10

The Cal Lutheran Scholar-Athlete Society held its annual banquet on May 8 and inducted 91 student-athletes for achieving at least a 3.4 cumulative GPA during the 2009-10 academic year. Seven CLU senior athletes were honored after making their fourth appearance in as many years.

Colvin Leads Golf at SCIAC Championships

Parker Colvin and Chad Kimmelshue finished with two-round totals of 149 and 150, respectively, and led the Cal Lutheran golf team to a sixth place finish at the SCIAC Championships held at the SCGA Golf Course on Monday. Despite finishing sixth the Kingsmen land in seventh in the final 2010 conference standings.

Sixth Place for Golf at Fifth SCIAC Round

After finishing seventh in the four previous conference rounds the Cal Lutheran golf team landed in sixth at SCIAC No. 5 hosted by Occidental on Sunday. Chad Kimmelshue led the Kingsmen with a 76 on the par 72 course.

Golf Holes Out at West Region Invitational

After a promising day one start the Kingsmen golf team fell back to seventh place following the final two rounds on Tuesday at the West Regional Invitational. Ryan Burchfield led CLU during round two with an 80 while Chad Kimmelshue's one-over 73 in the final round placed him tied for 14th in the overall individual competition.

Kingsmen in Third After First Round in Texas

Behind a 72 from freshman Chad Kimmelshue the Cal Lutheran golf team is in third place at the Southwestern Invitational after the opening round at the Teravista Golf Course in Round Rock, Texas. Kimmelshue is tied for fourth among individuals while junior Josh Knight is in a tie for sixth after shooting a 73.
