Announced on Tuesday afternoon by the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), Cal Lutheran women’s track and field student-athlete Amanda Hamilton and Kingsmen baseball student-athlete Davey Casciola were named Male and Female Athlete of the Week for their accomplishments during the week of May 16-22.
Throughout the school year, much of the day-to-day focus is directed towards the successes of the Cal Lutheran athletics programs, but on Saturday, May 7, a group of 150 student-athletes, with their families and friends, gathered inside of the Gilbert Arena for the 13th CLU Scholar-Athlete Society Induction ceremony where academics were praised.

Announced this morning by the NCAA Division III Baseball Committee, Cal Lutheran will play at one of the four six-team regional sites in 2016. There are four additional eight-team regional sites to accommodate the 56-team field set to play for the opportunity to advance to the 2016 World Series in Appleton, Wis. from May 27-31.
