SCIAC Athlete of the Week

Coltrane Powdrill poured in a total of 37 points, 17 rebounds, seven assists and five blocks while leading the Kingsmen in two more SCIAC victories to begin conference play 3-0. The senior forward had an efficient week shooting 60 percent (9-for-15) from the field and 91 percent (19-for-21) from the free-throw line in wins against Redlands and Pomona-Pitzer. Powdrill had 19 points, eight rebounds, three assists, three steals and three blocks against the Bulldogs and went 6-for-8 from the field and a perfect 7-for-7 from the line. In a seven-point win over the Sagehens, the Reseda, Calif. native had 18 points and nine rebounds and went 12-for-14 from the charity stripe including key free-throws down the stretch to secure the victory. 


Jessica Salottolo

Basketball

Jessica Salottolo notched back-to-back 20-point games to help the Regals defeat Redlands and Pomona-Pitzer on their way to opening SCIAC play 3-0. The sophomore guard went 8-for-14 from the field in both games and finished with 20 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals in a 67-62 win over the Bulldogs. Salottolo went 5-for-8 from behind the arc, scored 21 points and grabbed five rebounds in the Regals most recent 67-59 win over the Sagehens. She has now scored more than 20 points in three of the Regals last five games and is averaging 17.8 points during the team’s five game winning streak.
