Athletes of the Week
Parker posted her second double-double of the season
with 12 points and 13 rebounds during a one-point loss on the road
against Chapman on Dec. 7.
The sophomore forward is one board shy of averaging a double-double this season contributing 10.0 points and 9.8 boards through the first five games.
She leads the squad in rebounding, blocked shots, field goal percentage (among qualifying players) and minutes played.
SCIAC Athlete of the Week
This past week Grimm led the team averaging 18.5 points and five assists per game.
On Dec. 7 at CSU Northridge he put up 12 points and three assists in the first half keeping the Kingsmen even with the Matadors after 20 minutes.
At home against La Sierra on Dec. 11 he scored 22 of his team-high 24 points in the second half.
Grimm currently holds conference ranks of third in scoring (17 ppg), fourth in steals (1.6 spg), seventh in assists (2.8 apg) and 10th in blocked shots (0.8 bpg).
Men's Swimming & Diving
The CLU newcomer was a part of three event wins during the team's 151-72 conference opening victory over Occidental on Friday.
Sheffer led a CLU sweep of the 200-yard individual medley (2:01.34) and was first to the wall in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.19).
On Saturday at Redlands he set the school record in the 400-yard IM (4:21.59) and was even with the defending SCIAC champion after 300 yards.
Sheffer earned an individual event win for the Kingsmen against the Bulldogs taking the 200 breast (2:19.73).
Women's Swimming & Diving
Miller was part of two victories in the team's
conference opener against Occidental. Trailing at the midway point, she
came from behind over the final 50 yards to win in the 100-yard
The CLU newcomer was the only Regal to earn an individual event win against Redlands on Saturday, leading from start to finish in the 200 breaststroke (2:37.18).
